Walt. Describe a NZ habitat and the animals that live there. My habitat is the native bush. This habitat is special because of the animals and plants. There are some predators like the possum. There are lots of pretty trees and plants. In the native bush one of the biggest predators is a human e.g a possum can’t drive a big tractor and kill all the trees but we can. So we have to look after it. My 1st animal is the kiwi.the kiwis home is the native bush. It lives in this habitat because … of the plants, trees and food . This is not a very safe place because of the predators that live here. The kiwi Is a bird and it eats bugs, berries and worms .The kiwi can only be found in New Zealand. These small birds are the national bird of NZ and this is the only place in the world you’ll find them. My 2nd animal is the possum. the posems home is the native bush. It lives in this habitat because of the plants, trees and prey. Possums eat almost anything like raccoons they will eat Fruit,nuts,insects.frogs.lizards and eggs. They will even eat garbage and Dead animals. There are 60 different kinds or possums! The possum is a pouched mammal. Possums are sometimes called Opossums they are still the same specie but in different countries called different names. This is not a very safe place for the birds that live here because the possum attacks them. The possum was brought to New Zealand from Australia. They eat eggs and attacks birds My 3rd animal is the Pukeko the pukeko allso lives in the native bush but can be found in other places It lives in this habitat because The pukeko is a native bird to New Zealand and is also known to Swamp hen. They eat plants other animals and roots of trees. Pukekos are very good swimmers surprisingly without webbed feet. Pukekos are hunted in duck season so most of the smart pukekos go to the wetland and places where hunting is not allowed. How can we make the Native Bush not endangered?... Stop cutting down trees and hurting animals and their homes. Make sure you put your rubbish in the bin or in a zipped pocket.

It sits in a pile, for quite a while

A small brown mouse comes
out of his house to look for some

So inside goes the nut as frightened as

¨In you go in you go into my stick house,” said the mouse. Inside the house the mouse was talking. “So how shall I eat you, I could make peanut butter or pancakes with nuts blueberries and whipped cream.” “Mmmm!” said the mouse licking his lips.
Well for the nut it looks like this Christmas has come to the end.

creatures of the deep.

WALT write a moment in time.

We were at home and my mum was telling my sister off when she had a call on her radio, there was a huge earthquake and there was a part of the ocean that had opened up. There's something dangerous there. I begged my mum not to leave me with my sister but she wouldn't budge. So I was stuck babysitting.

Suddenly, I saw a huge tentacle shoot out of the water. I ran to the kitchen while my sister clung to my hand. I took two sharp knives from a draw and handed
one to my sister.

Then I felt something slimy wrap round my legs and then it tosses me and my sister in the water.

I could taste the salty sea water then we were pulled up onto a rescue boat and mum was on it. The salty water was making my lips sting.

I smelt the salty air as we were dodging the tentacles that shot up from the water. The smell of the salty air made me think of movies where people get stuck out in the ocean for years.

I wondered would this ever end.
